Vessels, routes, guest counts, and the quiet trade-offs of a Dubai yacht wedding — written by a planner, not a charter company.
A yacht wedding in Dubai sounds romantic on a brief. It is — but only when the brief acknowledges what a yacht actually is. It is a small, moving, weather-dependent venue with a strict guest cap and a kitchen the size of an apartment galley. Read in that light, it is the most cinematic venue in the city.
Vessel sizes we work with
- 60–80 ft — 20 to 40 guests, cocktail format only.
- 100–130 ft — 40 to 80 guests, light dinner.
- 150+ ft / superyacht — up to 120 guests, full plated dinner.
Routes that work
Our preferred route departs Dubai Marina, sails past Palm Jumeirah and Atlantis at sunset, holds position off The World for ceremony, then returns slowly. Total runtime, five to six hours. Anything longer fatigues guests in heels.
What no charter company will tell you
Wind, more than rain, is the variable. A 20-knot day will halve your usable deck space and make hair styling impossible. We hold a land-side backup venue within 20 minutes of the marina on every charter we direct. It has been used exactly twice in five years — and both couples were grateful.
When yacht is the right choice
For 40 to 80 guests, a celebration that needs to feel singular, and a couple who values cinematic specificity over scale. We do not recommend it for over 120 guests, or for any couple whose guest list includes more than a handful of older relatives.
